Dr Katerina Kalaitzaki is a Lecturer in EU Public Law at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) Cyprus, teaching and researching in the areas of EU Constitutional Law, Fundamental Rights, EU Citizenship and European Values. She was previously holding an academic position in EU Law at the University of Edinburgh with research and teaching responsibilities (September 2019-September 2021). She was awarded her PhD for her thesis “EU citizenship as a means of reinforcement of EU fundamental rights: challenges, developments, limits” in June 2019. She is involved in a number of EU co-funded projects that deal with the rule of law, European values, the EU Charter of Fundamental rights and crises in the EU. Dr Kalaitzaki is a Senior Research at the Centre for the Rule of Law and European Values (CRoLEV).
