Marios Argyrou is the Secretary General of the Cyprus Red Cross Society, leading the organisation’s strategic and operational development and strengthening its humanitarian and social impact across Cyprus. He has almost 20 years of professional experience in social policy, social welfare and the design and management of services for vulnerable populations. Prior to joining the Cyprus Red Cross Society, he held senior positions within Cyprus’ public sector and local government, with responsibilities spanning welfare benefits, social inclusion, community services and the management of national and EU-funded programmes. He holds an MA in Social Policy and Social Research and has also served in academia in the field of Social Work.
