Professor Metanios El Halabi is the President of Alexander College Cyprus. A jurist and senior ex-public administrator in Lebanon, he holds a Doctorat d'État in Law from Strasbourg III University, France. His career spans more than four decades of service to the Lebanese Republic and to higher education, including the presidency of AUL University in Beirut, the post of General Administrative Inspector at the Central Inspectorate, and the deputy minister of the Ministries of Education and Higher Education, and Culture. He has represented Lebanon before UNESCO, ALECSO and Francophone intergovernmental bodies. The recipient of several international distinctions, he is the author of numerous articles on law, sustainable development, education, higher education and administrative sciences.
